Baby Astrology for The Bump

Last week my friend Annie and I over at the Bump finished up one of our favorite video projects thus far: Baby Astrology! It was so much fun shooting and editing these little stars, I needed to share it with all of you too.  Here's a few of my favorites, although it was hard to choose:

Karina Dresstimonials™

Hey all!

I know it's been a while since I made a blog post. That's because I've been BUSY working on a lot of awesome projects, like The Knot Live, a weekly live web show on theknot.com, Dexter Lake Club Band new videos for the upcoming wedding season, and very recently I had the pleasure of working with Karina Cousineau, an amazingly inspirational entrepreneur, dress designer, brooklynite and a very cool lady in general.

Karina designs 'dresses for every-body'. It's not just a tagline, it's true. Her dresses are also perfect for travel, easy to care for, and super cute. I personally own 4 dresses and 2 skirts, and I love wearing them. They're just amazing, and I've seen them fit every female figure out there, first-hand. Well, just see for yourself:

I'm looking forward to continuing to work with Karina and create more inspirational videos with her. In the mean time, check out her online store: www.KarinaDresses.com or watch the Dresstimonials on her site: http://karinadresses.com/dresstimonialstm

That's all for now!

Website Updates: New Logo, New Art Section and More!

NEW LOGO -So as you can see at the top of the blog and all through out the website, there is a new logo on the scene. She's cool, she's shooting some videos and there's a bird on her head!

I've been trying to come up with the perfect logo design for a few years now,and although she may not be perfect, I think she sums up the website and what I do pretty well. I sketched her up on Monday night and turned her digital yesterday using mostly Photoshop, but also a little Illustrator.

I wanted an image that represented my many hats, so to speak...The bird is meant to represent my Voice Over work, as you can see displayed on the VO Page. And the reason she's holding the camera is to represent my Video work.

NEW ART/POETRY SECTION - There's a new section on the website, called Art. It's a little rough right now as I'm trying to gather my art, poems and photography from over the years.....but stay tuned as I populate this page with more works.

NEW GRAPHICS - I've added the Show Open that I created for EVE PEARL video and also an example of my Photoshop skills. Check it out.

Hmm, what else is new? Oh yea, today I helped EP air her first of many live webcasts via Ustream.tv. Unfortunately, she made me get on camera at one point....but all around it was a lot of fun, and I look forward to next week's show. You can watch the recorded video here: EP Live. (I appear towards the end)

That's all the updates for now, but as always check back soon for more new projects being posted.

Thanks for stopping by,

New Website Design!!

It took a while but the website finally got the overhaul it's been needing. Check it out now: www.sharonruedeman.com and let me know what you think. It's still (as always) a work in progress.

Hmm, what else is going? I just finished up a long edit with Moped Productions last month, a series of White Page videos for DeWitt Stern.

Also in July I was the lead camera on an all day shoot with Eve Pearl over at Qosmedix. I will most likely be starting the edit for 4 or 5 videos for them sometime this month. Very cool.

The Dan Mo video released last May/June has now reached over 200 hits on youtube, very exciting. Should be doing more videos with Dan again soon.

I also have plans of starting more personal projects coming up...Check back soon for more news and updates!

And as always, thanks for stopping by. Feel free to contact me for your video needs.

What a Beautiful Day for a Video Shoot

Just wrapped up on shooting a DanMo music video for his original song "I'm Ready." If you're not familiar, definitely check out his youtube page here. His videos right now are straight from the heart, webcam style but we decided to take it up a knotch!

We went all around Park Slope today finding the right locations, lighting and shots but most of all having fun. Edit will most likely start this Monday...so stay tuned (linked in).

My DLCB Video is featured in the New York Times

The video I produced for Dexter Lake Club Band is featured on the New York Times Style section of their website this week.

Dexter Lake Club Band is one of New York's premiere wedding bands and have been featured in Wedding magazine, New York edition two years in a row now.

Check out the link and watch them perform "Don't Stop Believin'" http://video.nytimes.com/video/2009/10/30/style/1247465452290/a-wedding-band-you-take-seriously.html

A Garden Tour

I was recently lucky enough to follow Mary Ahern of www.maryahernartist.com as she gave tours to about 100 people of her Northport, NY garden. Mary also sat down with me for an interview to talk about her garden, the concepts behind it and its development over the years.

Take a moment to watch the video below:

New Project Alert: Short Documentary/News Package about the Current Job Hunt

Frustrated by the job hunt and the current market, I've decided to create a video about the struggle to find a job in this economy. This video is only in the pre-production stage and I am looking for people willing to share their stories with me.

- Are you currently looking for a job and want to talk about your experiences?
-Are you a career counselor wanting to share some of your knowledge and tips for finding a job in this market?
-Do you work at a placement agency and are willing to talk about how hard it is to place your clients into temporary or permanent jobs right now?

Lastly, although I am capable of shooting, producing and editing on my own, I wouldn't mind an assistant or partner in this project.

If you want to lend your creativity for this video package or are interested in being interviewed and share your story with me please send an email telling me a little bit about yourself to: sharonruedeman.com@gmail.com - Subject - "Job Market Video Project"

And thank you for taking the time to read this post.
