January 2011 Update

Hey All -

It's been a crazy last few weeks. January started off with a bang!

I just finished up an intense DVD project for Isramerica. Here is a still of the Main Menu layout to the left. I'll post the other menus soon for you to check out.

It was a pretty challenging DVD authoring session. I don't think I've worked on a DVD with so many menus, tracks and slideshows before, but in the end it came out well. If you would like to find out more about Isramerica, please visit their website: www.isramerica.com.

Thanks to Moped Productions I also picked up new client this month: Ramon Ray of smallbiztechnology.com. I churned out about 15 videos for him this week from the 2011 CES Exhibit in Las Vegas. Look for him on youtube to see the videos.

Phew! It's been a busy few weeks with hardly and sleep, but it's been worth it. I'm heading out west for about a week for some much needed r&r. I'll see you all when I get back, and oh yea -

Happy New Year Everyone - thank you for all your support, collaborations and inspirations. Let's make sure this new year is filled with even more great work and projects.

As always - thanks for stopping by,

Philly v. New York

I attended a really great show last night in Bushwick, NY. Long time friends from Temple, Philadelphia Slick tore it down on the tiny stage and intimate setting of the Bushwick Music Studios. (who served chili and beer to attendees)

Great show. It opened with Ellis Ashbrook, who've played with Philly Slick before, and represented in their home ground, reigning from just a few blocks away of the studio. Ellis Ashbrook was great, it was my first time hearing them and I immediately loved the sound of lead vocalist and keyboard player, Natalie Lowe. The band played many original songs to the local crowd and also a killer cover of Heart's "Baracuda".

Second act, Akilles + The Oddicy, who have also shared the stage with Philadelphis Slick, took the show to hip hop vibes. First time seeing them as well, and I must say, I hope to catch them again.

Philly Slick of course, rocked the house, and Noesis never disappointments with his clever poetic lyrics that are backed incredibly by the band with MKap's flowing keys, Mike P's glowing bass lines and El's hard rockin' drum beats. I love this band, and they make me miss the 215 lifestyle, hardcore. Check them out at www.philadelphiaslick.com or on facebook.

Videos of Philly Slick to come soon, so stay tuned!

New Project Alert: Short Documentary/News Package about the Current Job Hunt

Frustrated by the job hunt and the current market, I've decided to create a video about the struggle to find a job in this economy. This video is only in the pre-production stage and I am looking for people willing to share their stories with me.

- Are you currently looking for a job and want to talk about your experiences?
-Are you a career counselor wanting to share some of your knowledge and tips for finding a job in this market?
-Do you work at a placement agency and are willing to talk about how hard it is to place your clients into temporary or permanent jobs right now?

Lastly, although I am capable of shooting, producing and editing on my own, I wouldn't mind an assistant or partner in this project.

If you want to lend your creativity for this video package or are interested in being interviewed and share your story with me please send an email telling me a little bit about yourself to: sharonruedeman.com@gmail.com - Subject - "Job Market Video Project"

And thank you for taking the time to read this post.
